username to mitigate fraud risk.

For individual local and sole proprietorship users, the maximum
limit is RM50,000.00.
For individual foreign users, the maximum limit is RM10,000.00.
Customer is able to set on their own limit if they subscribe to the
full version of i-muamalat. This limit is separate from the ATM
transactions limit.
How do I change my daily monetary transaction limit?
Login to i-muamalat and click "Settings".
Select Maintenance > Change Transaction Limits.
Enter your new Transaction Limit > Submit.
Approve your new transaction limit via i-MSecure at i-Muamalat Mobile.
What if I fail to access i-muamalat?
If your attempt to sign-on fails even after 3 tries, your User ID will be

your ID upon verification.
You may self-reactivate your i-Muamalat by clicking at the HERE hypertext
displayed upon your login attempt to your deactivated i-Muamalat account.

i-muamalat has received a security certification from GlobalSign, a
prominent security certification authority. This is to confirm that
i-muamalat web site is authentic and conforming to the best industry
standard. Transactions performed via i-muamalat is also encrypted using
2048-bit SSL. Furthermore for every monetary transaction, a second level
authentication code which is sent directly to your registered mobile phone
act as another extra layer of security.
What can I do to safeguard myself against fraudulent transactions?
Please ensure that your i-muamalat username and password are not
revealed or shared to anyone. Memorize them and do not write it
down. Ensure that you are accessing i-muamalat by directly keying in
its URL instead of selecting it from another web links from another
web site or in the email.
Be wary of attempts inquiring about your ID or password even though
it claims coming from Bank Muamalat. The Bank will never ask you to
disclose your ID and password.
Please do not share the TAC number received with any third party.
Always log out properly.
Do not perform transactions at public terminals such as cyber cafe.
Clear your cache upon completion.
Never click on link(s) sent from emails or SMS.

abroad?
Yes, i-muamalat is accessible wherever you can get internet access. However

Do I have to pay for i-muamalat Internet Banking service?
i-muamalat is a service provided by the Bank to its customer on a free of
charge basis. However there are certain bill payments nominal service
charges, IBG, FTT and other types of services will be imposed by Bank
Muamalat to the customer.
Can I change internet banking Username?
No. You will need to re-register if you want to change the Username.
How do I change my Internet Banking password?
You may change your Internet Banking password once you have logged in by
clicking on Settings > Security > Change Password.
Is Foreign Telegraphic Transfer (FTT) open to i-muamalat Internet Banking
users? And at what rate does the Bank charges for foreign exchange?
Yes, FTT is open to all individual i-muamalat Internet Banking users with a
service charge of RM 3 and cable charge of RM 30. Foreign exchange rate is
vary daily and will charge customer on the transaction date rates.
Can I transfer funds to any type of account in other banks?
You can do transfers to your own or 3rd party accounts at any participating banks, including credit card and financing
repayment using interbank GIRO transfer and/or DuitNow Transfer.
What are my other alternatives if I have more than RM50,000 to transfer?
If you want to transfer more than RM50,000, you have to do another
transaction on the next day or you may also do a transfer via ATM, or you
may proceed to any nearest BMMB branch

The i-muamalat Mobile Banking App is a smartphone application that
allows you to access and manage your Bank Muamalat accounts quickly and
securely from your mobile device.
A TAC verification is required for user's first time i-Muamalat Mobile
App login at the respective mobile device.
Can I use the Mobile Banking App if I am not an i-muamalat Internet banking
user?
No. You must be an i-Muamalat Internet Banking user to use Mobile Banking
Application. If you are not an i-muamalat Internet Banking customer, you
must sign up for i-muamalat Internet Banking.
How can I get the i-muamalat Mobile App?
For Apple, Android and Huawei users, the app can be downloaded from the
Apple AppStore, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery respectively.
How do I enable biometric login for i-Muamalat Mobile App ?
You may enable biometric login by tapping on 'Yes, I would like'
button when pop-up screen with question 'Would you like to use
biometric recognition for subsequent login?' appears. The pop-up
will be displayed for first time login upon installing i-Muamalat
Mobile App only.

What is i-Muamalat Mobile Application monetary transaction limit?

For security purposes, system will block screenshot. User can now share
their payment receipt through their existing application (e.g: whatsapp,
gmail) installed and available in user's mobile device.The 'Share' mechanism
is depending on the built-in sharing feature in each Mobile Device OS.
Alternatively, for payment proof, you may also login to i-Muamalat website
and click on My Accounts > i-muamalat Transactions > Current/Saving >
Successful Transactions. You may search and print required i-Muamalat transaction details.

Why I could not do multiple transactions anymore?
With the implementation of 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) feature, only
single transaction is allowed.
What is i-MSecure?
i-MSecure is a safer and convenient way to authorise transactions regardless
of amount through software token embedded in i-Muamalat Mobile
Application. This 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) feature is available on
the i-Muamalat Mobile Application, which can be downloaded from Google
Play Store, Huawei AppGallery and Apple Store. Customers are required to
register for i-MSecure before enjoying this authorise transaction
method. i-MSecure is a feature that allows user to approve or reject
i-Muamalat transactions directly from their smartphones.
How do I register for i-MSecure?
i-MSecure is available on the latest version of i-Muamalat Mobile Application, which
can be downloaded from Google Play Store, Huawei AppGallery and Apple Store.
To register, please login to i-Muamalat website and follow these steps:
Click on Settings > Security > i-MSecure Token Registration.
System will display i-MSecure Token Registration page.
Click on 'Register' button. System will direct to i-MSecure Token Registration
Confirmation page and a TAC number will be sent to your respective
registered mobile TAC number. Insert TAC and click 'Submit'.
Please re-click i-MSecure Token Registration Menu as per Step (i) and (ii) for the updated status.
System will display Pre-Activated i-MSecure Token Status with QR code.
To add device, please launch latest i-Muamalat Mobile Application in
your mobile device and tap on i-MSecure button without login i-Muamalat Mobile Application.
Camera will be activated, point the device's camera at the QR code
displayed in i-Muamalat Website > i-MSecure Token Registration page and scan.
Once successfully scanned, your i-Muamalat Mobile App shall display Add New Device -
Confirmation page.
Enter your i-Muamalat username and password.
Input TAC, and click on 'Confirm' button. System will direct to Add
New Device - Acknowledgement page.

Can I register for i-MSecure on two different devices?
No, i-MSecure is tied to one (1) device only per username.
How do I authorise my transactions with i-MSecure?
For i-Muamalat website, you will be prompted with a push notification on your registered mobile
device. You need to "Approve" or "Reject" the transaction within 60 seconds.
For i-Muamalat Mobile App, at Confirmation Page, you need to "Approve" or "Reject" the
transaction within 60 seconds.
If you are unable to receive push notifications from i-Muamalat Mobile
Application, please follow the steps below:

Search for 'i-Muamalat Mobile Application.'

If you have received the i-MSecure push notification but after opening it
you faced a blank screen, please follow the steps below:
a) For iPhones:
Please uninstall existing i-Muamalat Mobile Application and reinstall.
Please login to i-Muamalat website and proceed with add device activity at Settings > Security > i-MSecure Token Registration menu.
After add device activity, an activation period is imposed before user able to utilize the i-MSecure token.
b) For Android and Huawei:
Go to your smartphone 'Settings'

You can delete existing device and add new device for i-MSecure at
any time. Please login to i-Muamalat website and follow these steps:

Click on 'Delete' button in i-MSecure Token Registration page. System will
display Delete Device Confirmation page and a TAC number will be
sent to your respective registered mobile TAC number.

Without your approval, your transaction will not be processed and the amount
will not be deducted from your account.
Can I use i-MSecure for transactions that I have saved as 'Favourites'?
First transaction from Favourite list requires i-MSecure approval at i-Muamalat Mobile.
Subsequently, no i-MSecure approval is required for transactions that you have saved as 'Favourites'.
I did not initiate a transaction, but I've just received a push notification
to authorise a transaction using i-MSecure. What should I do?
If you have encountered any suspicious transaction from your account, please
contact our Customer Care Line at +60326005500 to lodge a report.
You may verify your mobile device tagged to i-MSecure at i-Muamalat website > Settings > Security > i-MSecure Token Registration.
In the event that the Device Name and OS is not yours, you may immediately delete the device.
What if my i-MSecure is blocked?
If your attempt to approve fails even after 3 tries, your i-MSecure will be

Will i-MSecure work when I am in overseas?
Yes, you can use i-MSecure when you are overseas. Please ensure the date and
time on your device are set to 'automatic'.
What is DuitNow Transfer?
DuitNow Transfer is a new real-time online fund transfer service that allows
you to transfer funds to your recipient's DuitNow ID or account number. You
can register and transfer funds using DuitNow Transfer via i-Muamalat
Website and Mobile App. This is an industry wide initiative among all banks
to simplify funds transfers while maintaining high level of security.

DuitNow ID is an identifier which will be used to register your account
numbers and it can consist of any of the below. You can register one DuitNow
ID to one account e.g. your mobile number to your Savings Account and your
NRIC to your Current Account.

Currently, Savings Accounts and Current Accounts can be registered for

How do I verify that I have DuitNow ID I keyed is correct when making a
transfer?
Once you have keyed in the DuitNow ID, the registered account holder's name
will be displayed. It is important that you check that the name belongs to
the intended recipient before confirming the transfer.
What do I do if I want to delete my DuitNow ID?
You can delete your DuitNow ID via i-Muamalat Web or Mobile App.
For i-Muamalat Web, follow below steps:
Login i-Muamalat > Click on DuitNow on the left menu > DuitNow ID > DuitNow
ID Maintenance. System will display DuitNow ID Maintenance page.
Click Delete Button at the required DuitNow ID

How do I activate or deactivate my DuitNow ID?
You can activate / deactivate DuitNow ID via i-Muamalat Web or Mobile App.
For i-Muamalat Web, follow below steps:
Login i-Muamalat > Click on DuitNow on the left menu > DuitNow ID > DuitNow
ID Maintenance. System will display DuitNow ID Maintenance page.
Slide the status bar to the left to deactivate or to the right to activate.
Click Yes on the confirmation
For Mobile App, follow below steps:
Login > Others
DuitNow ID Maintenance
Slide the status bar to the left to deactivate or to the right to activate
Click OK on the confirmation
Can a third party register my DuitNow ID to their account number?
No, Bank will check the DuitNow ID against the account holder's details
before allowing the registration.
I have changed my mobile number but my previous mobile number was my DuitNow
ID. What should I do?
You may delete your previous DuitNow ID (as per above steps) and register
your current mobile number as your DuitNow ID (as per above steps).
What is DuitNow QR?
DuitNow QR is a cashless payment available in i-Muamalat Mobile Application
that enables customers to make payments to merchants using a unique
two-dimensional quick-response (QR) code.

Who can use DuitNow QR?
All new and existing i-Muamalat users can experience DuitNow QR using
i-Muamalat Mobile Application. The customer needs to ensure i-Muamalat
Mobile Application is updated to the latest version.
What are the functions available for DuitNow QR within i-Muamalat Mobile
Application?
There are 2 types of functions available:
a) Scan QR
User can scan merchant's or other person's QR Code to pay or transfer funds.
The source of debiting account for this is via Current Account/Savings
Account only.
b) Create QR
User can generate a QR Code to receive fund from other person.
What is daily transaction limit to use DuitNow QR?
Maximum daily purchase limit for DuitNow QR is RM50,000. The customers can
set a lower limit at i-Muamalat website based at their convenience.
How to change DuitNow QR payment limits?
Login to i-Muamalat website;
Select "Settings" then select "Maintenance" and select "Change
Transaction Limits"; and
The customers may change preferred payment limit accordingly.
Approve your transaction via i-MSecure at i-Muamalat Mobile.
Which debiting account used for DuitNow QR?
i-Muamalat users are required to choose debiting account at first time
tapping at DuitNow QR tab. The source of debiting account for this is via
Current Account/Savings Account only.
How to change DuitNow QR debiting account?
Login to i-Muamalat website;
Select "Settings" then select "Maintenance" and select "Change
Default Account"; and
Select "DuitNow QR" at Transaction Type
The customers may change preferred account accordingly.
Click "Request TAC", input TAC number and click "Submit"
What are the security features in place for DuitNow QR?
The default limit is RM 250. However, the customer can change daily
transaction limit from RM1 to RM 50,000.
Customers are required to approve DuitNow QR transaction via i-MSecure.
What are the types of QR codes available for scanning?
There are two types of QR codes:
Dynamic QR Code: Merchant's or recipient's account details and
transaction amount has been embedded into it. The customers can just
scan QR code without entering the purchase amount.
Static QR Code: It has the merchant's or recipient's account details.
The customers must enter the amount after scanning the QR code.
How to know DuitNow QR payment status?
After the customers have made the payment, the status will be displayed on
the screen and you will also receive a notification via Short Message
Service (SMS). Alternatively, the customers may view the transactions at i-Muamalat Transactions menu.
Why is DuitNow QR payment being rejected?
Payment may be declined due to these reasons:
Insufficient balance in your account;
Poor internet connectivity; or
Merchant's DuitNow QR service has been deactivated.
If I have received a successful notification for the DuitNow QR payment, but
the merchant claimed not receive it, what should I do?
Please show the successful notification to the merchant for payment
confirmation. Merchant could also check his/her own transaction history to
find out if the payment has been received.
What type of EPF Payment can be made through i-muamalat?
Voluntary Contribution such as Self Contribution, i-Saraan & i-Suri. For
more information on these contribution types, please refer EPF official
website.
What is the requirement to make an EPF Payment?
You must have a registered EPF member number.
How do I make an EPF Payment?
Login i-Muamalat website
Click on Transfers / Payments / Prepaid Reload > Click Payments Menu > Select From Account Number
Select EPF from 'To' the dropdown list tab
Click New Transfer for Non Favourite EPF payment or select from Favourite list displayed
Select Payment Type and input necessary field.
Click Submit button.
Approve your transaction via i-MSecure at i-Muamalat Mobile.
System will display EPF Payment acknowledgement page.
What is Challenge Question?
Challenge Question is a mutual authentication used by i-Muamalat to verify
that the transaction performed is from a genuine i-Muamalat user. The
transaction authentication using this challenge question will occur if the
transaction hit certain triggering criteria.
When will the Challenge Question enrolment be created?
If your status in the system is not enrolled, you will be prompted to create
your Challenge Question upon logging into your i-Muamalat. You have to
choose five (5) questions from the list, type your answer and click submit.
What happens if I fail to answer the Challenge Question?
If your attempt to answer the Challenge Question fails after three (3)
tries, your User ID will be locked. To unlock your User ID, please contact
our Customer Care Centre at +60326005500.
What should I do if I want to change the Challenge Question?
You may change your Challenge Question from i-Muamalat website. Click
on 'Settings' > 'Security' > 'Change Challenge Question'.

What is DuitNow Request?
A service that allows payees to send digital payment request to collect
funds from a payer. DuitNow Request service is available via i-Muamalat
Website and Mobile App.
With DuitNow Request, payees may request payment instantly 24/7 through
the payer's Mobile Number, MyKad/Passport Number, Army/Police Number,
Business Registration Number (BRN) or Account number.
DuitNow Request allows payment to be collected from Current Account
Savings Account (CASA) and e-Wallet.
How do I initiate a DuitNow Request?
You may submit a DuitNow Request to the payer via i-Muamalat Website and
Mobile App through DuitNow Request menu under Transfers.

What should I do when I receive an Incoming DuitNow Request?
You can pay the DuitNow Request and the payment will be credited to the
requestor. You may also reject the Incoming DuitNow Request or forward the
request to other DuitNow ID or Account Number.
What should I do if I want other payer to pay for the Incoming DuitNow
Request?
You may forward the DuitNow Request to other payer by clicking 'Forward'
button and insert other payer's DuitNow ID or Account Number.
How do I respond to any Incoming DuitNow Request if I do not have
i-Muamalat?
You will receive an SMS for Incoming DuitNow Request. However, you need to
register i-Muamalat prior to DuitNow Request payment, reject or forward.
Can I set favourite for DuitNow Request?
Yes, you can set favourite for DuitNow Request payer.
Can I set Standing Instruction for DuitNow Request?
Yes, you can set Standing Instruction for the DuitNow Request.
What is the transaction limit amount for DuitNow Request?
For DuitNow Request, maximum allowable amount is RM 50,000.00 per
transaction for all i-Muamalat user type.
For DuitNow Request Payment, maximum transaction limit is RM 50,000.00
combined with overall limit per day for Individual Local and Sole
Proprietorship. While for Individual Foreign, maximum transaction limit
is RM 10,000.00 combined with overall limit per day.
Be informed that DuitNow Request Payment limit is sharing with DuitNow
Transfer limit.
What is DuitNow AutoDebit?
A service that allows businesses to collect recurring payments based on
consent given by customers.
How do I register for DuitNow AutoDebit?
There are two (2) methods for DuitNow AutoDebit registration:
You may submit a DuitNow AutoDebit registration for any
participating Merchant from i-Muamalat Website or Mobile
Application.
Follow below steps:
Login i-Muamalat
Go to DuitNow / Others
Select DuitNow AutoDebit Registration
Select desired Merchant Name from the dropdown list and
insert required information
Click Submit
Approve your transaction via i-MSecure at i-Muamalat Mobile
A specific DuitNow AutoDebit ID will be provided with status
pending approval by Merchant.
Once Merchant approved your registration, you will receive a
notification or you may also refer to DuitNow AutoDebit
Maintenance list for updated DuitNow AutoDebit ID status.
Another method is Merchant may initiate a DuitNow AutoDebit from
Merchant portal for user to approve via i-Muamalat Website or
Mobile Application.
Follow below steps to approve
DuitNow AutoDebit registration:
Login i-Muamalat
Go to DuitNow / Others
Select DuitNow AutoDebit Approval
Click on the listed DuitNow Reference Number
Select the Debiting Account at From Account selection
Click Approve. If you want to reject the DuitNow AutoDebit,
click Reject button.
Approve your transaction via i-MSecure at i-Muamalat Mobile.
The DuitNow AutoDebit is now successfully registered and a
specific DuitNow AutoDebit ID will be provided. You may
refer to DuitNow AutoDebit Maintenance list for updated
DuitNow AutoDebit ID details.
Where do I view list of registered DuitNow AutoDebit?
You may view the list at DuitNow AutoDebit Maintenance under DuitNow
/ Others menu upon login i-Muamalat Website / Mobile App.
How can I switch my registered DuitNow AutoDebit from other bank to Bank
Muamalat?
Follow below steps:
Login i-Muamalat Website / Mobile App
Go to DuitNow / Others
Select DuitNow AutoDebit Maintenance
Click on the listed AutoDebit ID
Select New Debiting Account from the dropdown list
Click Submit
Approve your transaction via i-MSecure at i-Muamalat Mobile.
Can I update my registered Duitnow AutoDebit details?
Yes, you may update DuitNow AutoDebit status and debiting account
number.
Follow below steps:
Login i-Muamalat Website / Mobile App
Go to DuitNow / Others
Select DuitNow AutoDebit Maintenance
Click on the listed AutoDebit ID
To update:
debiting account: select New Debiting Account from the dropdown
list
status: select New AutoDebit Status from the dropdown list
Click Submit

What is AutoDebit Effective Date and AutoDebit Expiry Date?
AutoDebit Effective Date is a date when the AutoDebit ID will be
effective and Merchant may send debit request to your account.
AutoDebit Expiry Date is a date when the AutoDebit ID will be expired
and Merchant could not send debit request anymore when the expiry date
has reached.
What is the maximum amount limit for DuitNow AutoDebit Registration?
Maximum allowable amount limit is RM 50,000.00 per DuitNow AutoDebit ID
initiated from i-Muamalat Website or Mobile Application.
However, for DuitNow AutoDebit initiated by Merchant, the maximum amount
limit will be set by the Merchant. You may view the limit amount on
DuitNow AutoDebit Approval screen before you approve the consent.
Can I delete the registered DuitNow AutoDebit?
Yes, you may delete your DuitNow AutoDebit as per below steps:
Login i-Muamalat Website / Mobile App
Go to DuitNow / Others
Select DuitNow AutoDebit Maintenance
Click on the listed AutoDebit ID
Click Delete button
Approve your transaction via i-MSecure at i-Muamalat Mobile
I noticed that there is an unauthorized or erroneous DuitNow AutoDebit
transaction, what should I do?
You may delete that DuitNow AutoDebit ID as per above steps and please
contact our Customer Care Line at +60326005500 to lodge a report.
What is Kill Switch?
Kill Switch is a feature to temporarily block all login attempts when you suspect
that your i-Muamalat login credentials have been compromised. This feature is a quick
way to prevent scammers from accessing your i-Muamalat account and preventing any
outgoing transactions from your account(s). You can locate the feature at i-Muamalat
Website Login page at https://www.i-muamalat.com.my
What is Activation (Cooling Off) Period?
There will be a 12-Hour Activation (Cooling-off) Period when you perform the following
function in efforts to help prevent unauthorised login/authorisation. You will only be
able to login i-Muamalat / use i-MSecure to authorise transactions after 12 hours of the maintenance performed:-
a. Add new device for i-MSecure;
b. First time registration of i-Muamalat via credit card only; and
c. Self-reactivation of i-Muamalat
